The Harborough reins, also called Thiedemann combination is a combination of a martingale with extended fork ends and web reins with 3 sewn semicircular rings. The reins is a variant of draFull reins with the difference that the coming out of the bridle reins ring is locked to the bridle reins. The rider holds so despite the auxiliary rein only reins straight into the arms, and the maximum length of neck is directly dependent on the reins length. The position at which the Harborough reins are hooked into the bridle, decides on the overall sharpness of the auxiliary rein. So even hotter horses for a certain period with this reins can be better regulated.
